The Two of Us

Greg and I met at a student ward in college. He played baseball and  though I didn't know much about the sport to begin with, I was immediately a fan of Greg in his baseball uniform. I worked at the library on campus and there were definitely one or two occasions when Greg visited me at work and I was a less-than-productive employee as we chatted between the tall bookcases. We began dating and had a great time together.

The night we got engaged, Greg tricked me. I thought we were going to a dance, so I got all dressed up while Greg had my friends pack an overnight bag and sneak it into his car. When he headed out of town I assumed we were just going out to dinner before the dance, but when he kept driving all the way to Salt Lake, I knew something bigger was happening. We went to dinner at a fancy restaurant and I kept getting more and more excited the whole time. After dinner we strolled around temple square and finally Greg knelt down and pulled out a ring and proposed. I was so thrilled that I started jumping up and down saying yes.

The night we got engaged

We were married in the Logan Utah Temple on August 4, 2001.
It was such a beautiful and happy day. I don't think I've ever smiled as much in one day as I did the day we were married.
